Order: You have to visit the web page of a signature card provider as specified above and then you can order a signature card.
Requesting: You have to fill out a request form for a signature card (a so-called qualified electronic signature). These data is needed, for assigning your electronic signature to your person later.
Identification: For identification purposes you have to go into a post office branch, a savings bank office, a branch of a signature card provider or an authorized partner and on the basis of the filled out request form and your document of identification you will be identified. After conclusion of the identification you will receive the signature card. The signature card will then be sent to you.
Activation: Depending on your provider you finally have to activate your received signature card with a one-time-pin or you have to load the necessary information for the signature function on a signaturable card which you already own. If you like to use it for your own computer, you will need a software and a smart card reader. You can get both from the providers specified above.
